The Kips Bay Show House opened last night.  Wayne Nathan used Drift, one-of-a-kind vases from Thaddeus Wolfe, and the Paddle Bench from Samare in his space.  He also commisioned a wall installation by artist Aakash Nihalani.  See the show house slideshow here.

continues his exploration of global, artisanal craft as galleries become workshops where weavers and artisans create functional and experimental objects conceived by the designer.  Also on display are photographs and videos documenting Burks’ travels, as well as drawings and prototypes that illustrate his design process from inspiration to completion.
