Sedia 1 Chair
is from Enzo Mari's famous and thought-provoking 1974 project “Autoprogettazione”.  The concept is that people purchase a set of precut pinewood boards, nails and instructions for the chair, and then put it together themselves.  Mari demonstrates earlier this year at Milan 20.

The artist Richard Woods and the architecture firm dRMM worked together on this extension of the Modern Art Oxford.  They converted a delivery yard into a gallery space and cafe.  Woods used his iconic graphic to decorate the facade, interior, furniture and even the lighting.

Textile and wallpaper designer Wook Kim stopped in earlier this week with a Korean tv crew shooting a story on creative Korean-Americans in New York City. We got to chatting a bit and he revealed that he is currently working on a new collection of wallpaper. We won't say too much just yet but we will tell you that the collection will consist of two parts with two different themes:  the opera and New York City.  Can't wait to see it.

The talented and incredibly busy New York based jewelry designer, Anna Sheffield stopped in today with some new pieces for the store.  While here, she started telling us about her recent collaboration with the creative factory over at McSweeney's, who've dreamed up a treasure hunt children's book, "The Clock Without A Face" that has children and adults alike running around the country digging holes.  For the book, Anna designed and created twelve unique emerald numbers, which are hidden and buried across the country.

A few pictures of some discovered numbers.
