This piece was designed by Enzo Mari in 1964. We found it while surfing on Design is Fine, a great design resource. We carry Mari's Sedia 1 Chair, now produced by Artek, and originally part of the designer's thought-provoking project Autoprogettazione.

Please join us for cocktails with Tom Dixon on Tuesday, Sept. 24th, from 6-9pm. He will be signing his new book Dixonary, which covers everything he's done from his first drawing to his most recent projects. There are also loads of pieces featured that never went into production, and haven't been seen much if at all. We'd love to see you here.

Bocci's impressive 28 series installation with copper wire for London Design Week is installed at the V&A Museum. Hanging from the ceiling in a second floor gallery, it travels 100 ft through a hole in the floor and into the museum's main atrium.

Here is a preview of a new piece from Faye Toogood for Established & Sons to be debuted during London Design Week. Privy only to this photo, we're not sure yet the function of this piece. Regardless of what it may or may not do, it is beautiful and sometimes thats enough. Then again, most likely it does something really great, so please drop us a line if you can shed some light. We'll do the same if we find out first.

The Acciaio Lounge Chair by Max Lipsey hangs out in a recent project on the west coast by Susan Collins. The natural leather patinas with age resulting in a piece that develops character over time. The frame is welded by hand and exhibits strength coupled with lightness on par with the classic Italian bicycle frames that inspired the Acciaio Series. See the whole collection here.

Rich Brilliant Willing's hand-assembled products show a unique respect for material and function. Artchitects are naturally some of their biggest fans. Architizer just initiated a series on product and furniture designers to illustrate how important fixtures and furniture are to a project as a whole. RBW is their first interview. Full piece here. Radient Platform Lamp shown above.
