I feel strangely guilty for liking these so much but the Maison
Hermès window displays in Paris by Leila Menchari are just so magically extravagant. Her creative use of materials takes us to another universe within a tiny space. More images and info here.

Mini architecture is pretty great. It's even better when it serves a humanitarian cause, like these dormitories built for an orphanage on the Thai-Burmese boarder. The designers,
TYIN tegnestue Architects explain that "[s]olutions to real and fundamental challenges call for an architecture where everything serves a purpose - an architecture that follows necessity..."
