The alu chair is an industrial version of the ‘chair 2’ Muller Van Severen created for the Bahrain pavilion at the World Expo in 2015. The alu chair is made of aluminium and is suited for both indoor and outdoor use thanks to the beewax treatment and a UV protection lacquer. Muller Van Severen created sixteen color combinations, which is a larger number than they usually work with. They wanted the user to be able to create a landscape of color. The colors of the chair determine the atmosphere of the space: either playful or rather toned down.
