For the Square Table S, Muller Van Severen designed a sober and basic object that excels in details and finishing. There are no visible traces of welding and the table top consists of solid aluminum, adding a robustness to this piece of furniture. In contrast to the minimalist form, the table top is lacquered with a hammered coating. That is an old technique used for mainly industrial tools and machines.
