Many of the iconic designs remain in their collection to this day. It is our hope that the HUG armchair will earn the right to stand proudly among the classics of the Arflex collection. To this aim, we have designed the armchair with a high level of seating comfort coupled with the very best quality upholstery solutions.In fact, each and every part of the HUG armchair has been carefully designed to give great flexibility to the customer as well as being beautiful to look.
On top of this, we have looked for a particular silhouette. A friendly, recognisable gesture that encompasses all of these aspects but also, speaks directly to the heart – the hug. The friendly and welcoming gesture, seen most clearly in the ‘open- armed’ position of the armrests, is meant as a universal invitation: “Come, sit with me a while and I’ll put you at ease”.
