Nendo and Nichetto co-created Isole virtually via a long distance exchange of ideas inspired by traditional Japanese poetry called Tanka, where one person starts the poem and the other person completes it. Isole is Italian for islands, echoed in a unique modular sofa concept replete with individual components. Isole is a versatile sofa with discrete side tables expressed in an aesthetic that’s soft, endearing and inviting.

Materials
Powder coated steel base, moulded HR foam seat, backrest and armrest. Black MDF table tops with nano laminate surface.

Strength, Durability and Safety Testing
The product is tested for strength, durability and safety according to EN 16139 Level 2 – Extreme use
