Strangled rack is part of the Future Primitives series that Muller Van Severen present in 2012 at Biennale Interieur in Kortrijk, Belgium. Strangled rack is conceived by further elaborating on the idea of juxtaposing basic elements. In this case, two horizontally shaped racks intertwine as if the room is too small to fit both in a normal way. The position of the racks can be altered, allowing the owner to choose his own shape according to what is suitable. Thanks to the alternative arrangement of the shelves within one rack, it can be used as a desk.
